Location: Sebago Elementary School is a small PreK-5 elementary school with approximately 114 students. We are located in East Sebago Maine, just minutes from Sebago Lake and just a short drive to Pleasant Mountain. Our school community values the natural beauty of our surrounding, and look for opportunities to engage students in outdoor learning. We are looking for a certified music teacher to teach general music to all students,chorus and band to students in grades 3,4, and 5 to those interested two day a week. Bi-annual performances are part of our programming. Experience teaching music at the elementary level and an understanding of PBIS preferred. Interviews will begin after April Break. Position begins August 2025.
SUMMARY: To create a challenging elementary grade music program and nurturing class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to create positive relationships with students; to motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to build a foundation for elementary grade music education, in accordance with each student’s ability; to establish good relationships with parents and with other staff members.
