7th-12th Grade English Teacher
Islesboro Central School, a small K-12 island school, seeks a student-centered, collaborative English teacher to join our team in the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for and proficiency in the content area of English, a demonstrated understanding of reading and writing instruction at the middle and high school level, and a commitment to individual excellence.
The ideal candidate is someone who is committed to building positive relationships with students and staff, understands how to meet the academic needs of all learners, and creates innovative ways to help our students achieve success.
Islesboro Central School is located on the unbridged island of Islesboro in Penobscot Bay accessible by 20 minute ferry ride. ICS has a 100% graduation rate and enjoys strong community support.
