Job Title: Business Academy Instructor (Full Time)

Job Description: Business Academy Instructor

Hours: 5 days/week, 8:00am -3:00pm

The Capital Area Technical Center (CATC) located in Augusta, Maine has an opening for a full-time Business Academy Instructor beginning in the fall of 2025.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certified or eligible and willing to be obtain Maine Department of Education certification (898)

  • Minimum of three years successful experience in a business related position within the last five years preferred and/or successful experience in a commercial business setting

  • Master's degree or higher preferred

  • Competent in current business technology

  • The instructor delivers the dual enrollment curriculum for the following courses from Thomas College and Northern Maine Community College: 

    • Fall 2025:  Personal Finance, Entrepreneurship, Communications

    • Spring 2026: Management, Computer Applications

  • Teaching and supervisory experience preferred

  • Ability to work with CATC staff, high school students, and community groups

  • Good communication, organizational, leadership, and critical thinking skills

Must obtain Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) upon hire.

Rate of Pay: Per Contract
