Sanford Middle School Ed Tech I, II, or III (896)

Sanford Middle School is seeking dedicated Educational Technicians I, II, or III to join our team in the Special Education Setting.  Multiple positions are available in the both the self contained and resource setting. These programs serve students with significant academic and functional skill deficits, including communication and regulation challenges, who are working below the level of their same-age peers.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the classroom teacher in implementing individualized lessons and goals
• Collecting and maintaining daily data on student skill acquisition
• Assisting students as they transition within the school building
• Promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Current Ed Tech I, II, or III certification or eligibility to obtain certification
• Maine CHRC/Fingerprinting approval (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and demonstrate compassion for students
