Title: Adult Education Instructor

Reports to: Lawrence Adult Education Director

Job Goal: To provide instructional  services for adult education students.

Terms of Employment: This is a Part-time position during the academic year, consisting of 20-25 hours/ week. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in higher education or related adult education field.
• Certification in English/Language Arts or an Adult Education endorsement for English/Language Arts or be actively pursuing either certification. 
• Experience working in Maine Adult Education programs preferred. 
• Proficient in the use of digital classroom/office tools and web-based learning/communication platforms.
• CHRC

Performance Responsibilities:

• Class Instruction: Teach a variety of classes including English classes for credit, ELL classes, College and Career Success, and basic reading classes.
• Oversee Edgenuity Online Learning Platform: Manage and monitor student progress on our Edgenuity platform, ensuring effective use of online resources and supporting student success.
