Description:
Spruce Mountain High School seeks a passionate and creative Art Educator to join our dynamic faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled teacher and practicing artist to inspire students through a broad and flexible visual arts program. Courses currently offered include: Drawing for Illustration, Landscape Painting, Art History, Experimental Art, Visual Arts Foundations, and additional interdisciplinary and mixed-media options. We believe in empowering educators to bring their own artistic strengths and vision into the classroom. If you have a particular area of interest or expertise - such as printmaking, digital art, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, or cultural art forms, we want to support you in building a curriculum around it!
Qualifications:
- BA or Masters preferred
- Maine Department of Education K-12 Certification: 620 Visual Arts required
- Criminal History Records Check approval through the Maine Department of Education
