SCHOOL COUNSELOR - 2025-2026 School Year - RSU 24

Ella Lewis School and Peninsula School are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PK-5 School Counselor to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of our students. This position is split equally between both schools. The counselor will work closely with students, families, teachers, and staff to foster a positive school climate and culture, implement PBIS strategies, and provide individual and group support through our MTSS process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach counseling classes to each grade level throughout the week.
• Provide social-emotional support through individual and small group counseling
• Implement and support PBIS initiatives to promote a positive school climate.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success.
• Assist students with conflict resolution and coping strategies.
• Partner with families and community organizations to meet student needs.
• Support attendance initiatives and student engagement efforts

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in School Counseling or a related field.
• School Counselor endorsement #075
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
