Demonstrate strong leadership skills including leadership among educational staff and parent/legal guardians;

Oversee daily caseload of special education students including crisis intervention, individual counseling, group counseling, and family counseling;

Work collaboratively with the building guidance department and administrators to support student needs;

Communicate clearly and concisely with team members, administration, students and parent/legal guardians;

Have experience working with middle school- aged students;

Be willing to assist colleagues with challenging tasks and contribute to a positive team culture;

Facilitate team meetings regarding students with teachers, parents/legal guardians and Administrators;

Facilitate classroom presentations regarding topics in mental health in collaboration with the school leadership team;

Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities;

Have experience writing and developing clinical documentation, such as treatment plans and comprehensive assessments;

Provide direct supervision to ed techs/BHPs weekly to meet the MaineCare requirement;
-
Have experience with the MaineCare Section 28 and 65 Programs including documentation, supervision and clinical paperwork.
