Administrator Position to support program development, supervision and adherence to special education regulations.
The role of a Director of Special Services in our 1750+ student preK-12 school district encompassing a broad range of responsibilities aimed at supporting students with diverse needs.
Key duties Typically include:
Program Oversite: Developing, implementing, and evaluating special education programs to ensure they meet State and Federal guidelines.
Compliance Management: Ensuring all special education services comply with the individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and other relevant regulations.
Staff Supervision: Recruiting, leading and supporting special education teachers, aides, and related service providers, including conducting preformance evaluations and facilitating professional development.
Budget Administration: Managing the special education budget, including overseeing State and Federal grant allocations and submissions.
Community Engagement: Acting as a liaison between the school district and the community, interpreting activities and policies of the special services department, and encouraging community input.

We will consider Conditional certfications, if you haven't earned your full Professional certification.
