FULL TIME ESOL Education Technician III

Instructor Position

Grade levels: High School 9-12

Qualifications

  • MDOE Technician III Certification (or eligible)
  • Relevant education, credentials, and work experience
  • Experience working with students in school setting
  • Background in working with multilingual students preferred
  • Strong written, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong initiative and willingness to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with students, and teachers
  • Cooperative, patient, and respectful of the beliefs, opinions, and confidentiality of others

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with individuals or small groups of students to provide instructional and assessment support under the general guidance of the ESOL teacher
  • Consult with classroom teachers
  • Carry out lesson plans independently
  • Conduct, record and summarize student observations and progress as directed
  • Ensure a safe learning environment through application of school rules and expectations, as well as, policies established by Waterville Public Schools
  • Exhibit a positive professional attitude with supervisors, co-workers and students
  • Maintain confidentiality of all student and employee-related information
  • Perform additional tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned
