We will consider Emergency or Conditional certfications, if you haven't earned your full Professional certification.
Are you passionate about sparking curiosity and fostering a love of science in young learners? Mountain Valley Middle School is seeking a dedicated 7th grade science teacher to join our team beginning in the 2025–26 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students, engage them in hands-on exploration, and nurture their scientific understanding within a supportive and collaborative learning community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive and interactive lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum objectives, emphasizing inquiry-based learning and critical thinking skills.
- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to establish a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment conducive to student success and engagement. ? Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles, ensuring all students have the opportunity to excel in science.
- Incorporate hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and technology to enhance learning experiences and deepen students' understanding of scientific concepts.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing meaningful feedback to guide their academic growth.
Benefit for Teachers: If a newly hired teacher (to RSU 10) is professionally certified and chooses not to take courses their first year, they qualify for up to $2500 towards existing student loans.
