Creative Learning Center | MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital has a great group of fun, friendly teachers who love what we do. We are looking for two caring and dynamic assistant teachers to join our childcare team in Rockport. The Assistant Teacher helps to provide high quality care and comprehensive early education for young children. We focus on meeting children’s needs through relationship building, exploration and discovery. Assistant Teachers work with children of all ages, birth to five, and we are specifically looking for someone right now with a special heart for caring for infants and young toddlers.
*In addition to great pay and benefits, childcare staff are currently eligible for a $200 monthly stipend.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: Completion of college courses preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification preferred. Current BLS Certification and First Aid Certification preferred or must complete within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: Teaching/caregiving in group childcare/preschool setting preferred; Experience with the Creative Curriculum and NAEYC Accreditation preferred.
4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Minimum age of 18 years of age.
