Erskine Academy, an independent town academy founded in 1883 and serving approximately 525 students in grades 9–12, seeks a dynamic, student-centered leader to serve as Boys’ Varsity Soccer Coach.

Position Overview
The Boys’ Varsity Soccer Coach will lead and oversee all aspects of the varsity program, creating a culture that reflects the Academy’s values of integrity, respect, responsibility, and commitment. The coach will work collaboratively with the Athletic Director, faculty, families, and the broader community to build a program that develops student-athletes both on and off the field.
Responsibilities
- Develop and articulate a clear philosophy for the boys’ soccer program aligned with the Academy’s mission and values
- Plan and conduct organized, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate practices
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and growth-oriented team culture
- Promote leadership, sportsmanship, and academic accountability among student-athletes
- Support the vertical development of the program in collaboration with sub-varsity coaches and local youth programs
- Communicate effectively with players, families, and school leadership
- Model professionalism and integrity at all times
- Ensure compliance with MPA regulations and school policies
Qualifications
- Prior coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or equivalent level
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a positive team culture
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- CHRC authorization (or willingness to obtain)
