Special Education Teacher Social Emotional Program

Winslow Elementary School 

The Winslow School Department is seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for working with students with special needs. You can be an integral part of a dynamic team focused on helping students meet their academic and functional goals!

This is  full time beginning in the Fall of 2025 (Potential Summer Opportunities)

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in inclusive programming, positive behavior plans, and working with students with multiple disabilities and levels of need.

• Flexibility is necessary to program for students with cognitive, emotional, and social communication needs. 

• Ability to collect and utilize academic and behavioral data to drive instruction 

• Ability to supervise and collaborate with educational technicians

• Current Safety Care Authorization (or can be trained by the district)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with Maine Certification of Teacher of Students with Disabilities (282) or Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilities (286)

• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC)

• Knowledge and understanding of State, local and federal regulations and policies affecting special education
