POSITION OVERVIEW

As our K-8 Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students with diverse learning needs receive appropriate, high-quality educational services. You'll work collaboratively with general education teachers, families, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Maine Department of Education certification as a Teacher of Special Education (282)
  • Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field
  • Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations
  • Experience working with students with disabilities across the K-8 age range
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education practices
