POSITION OVERVIEW
As our K-8 Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students with diverse learning needs receive appropriate, high-quality educational services. You'll work collaboratively with general education teachers, families, and support staff to create inclusive learning environments where all students can thrive.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Maine Department of Education certification as a Teacher of Special Education (282)
- Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations
- Experience working with students with disabilities across the K-8 age range
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to inclusive education practices
