Special Education Teacher, Grades K-8
Bangor Regional Therapeutic Day Program
- Maine Special Education Certificate #282 or #286 Teacher Certification required
- Highly qualified to instruct in multiple subject areas preferred
- Ability to complete diagnostic testing required
- Ability to write Individual Education Programs (IEPs) necessary
- Experience developing and following behavior plans required
- Experience teaching students with emotional/behavioral disabilities or Autism necessary
- Ability to implement discrete trial instruction preferred
- Willing to work collaboratively with colleagues necessary
- Proficiency with technology is necessary
- Willingness to contribute to the total funcioning of the school is required
- Ability to use Safety Care Interventions necessary
- Willingness to assist with activities of daily living may be necesssary
