We are seeking a highly dedicated and passionate Elementary Behavior Classroom Teacher to join our team and provide specialized instruction and support to students with behavioral challenges in an elementary school setting. As an Elementary Behavior Classroom Teacher, you will play a critical role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
Implement evidence-based behavior management strategies to support students with behavioral challenges in the classroom.
Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students, in collaboration with the school's multidisciplinary team.
Provide direct instruction to students, delivering academic content and teaching social-emotional skills.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles.
Foster a positive and supportive classroom climate by promoting positive behavior, conflict resolution, and social skills development.
Monitor and track student progress, collecting data to assess the effectiveness of interventions and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians, providing updates on student progress and strategies for supporting behavioral development at home.
Attend and actively participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and workshops to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in behavior management.
