University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as the Housing and Deputy Title IX Coordinator. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety, well-being, and compliance within our housing facilities while also supporting efforts related to Title IX regulations. The Housing and Deputy Title IX Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the housing process, including logistics, marketing, planning, and coordination with relevant departments. Additionally, this role will coordinate meal plans and work closely with dining services (Sodexo) regarding student needs. The role of the Deputy Title IX Coordinator will ensure UMF stays in compliance with system requirements, including state and federal regulations and laws, while supporting all parties in alleged Title IX violations and will fulfill the administrative responsibilities associated with support, referral, and coordination of pending Title IX hearings. The Housing and Deputy Title IX Coordinator may have some evening and weekend hours when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Leadership, Psychology, or other related fields and a minimum of one (1) year experience in higher education administration and Title IX Services or a Bachelor’s degree with two (2) or more years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of student development theory.
- A minimum of two (2) years experience in higher education administration and Title IX Services.
- A minimum of two (2) years of faculty, staff, or student training experience.
- Crisis Management experience.
