Position: Special Education Educational Technician (ed. tech.) I, IIor III
School Level: Pre-K through Grade 8
School Year: 2025-26
The Lamoine School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Educational Technician to join our supportive team serving
students in a small, community-centered Pre-K to Grade 8 school on the beautiful coast of Maine.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing academic and behavioral support to students with IEPs, under the supervision of a certified special education teacher.
- Supporting students in inclusive classroom settings, small groups, or one-on-one.
- Implementing accommodations and modifications as outlined in IEPs.
- Assisting with data collection and documentation of student progress.
- Collaboration with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to meet student needs.
- Fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications/Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate:
- Maine Department of Education Ed Tech II or III Authorization (or willingness to obtain).
Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work as part of a team.
Genuine interest in working with children!
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a variety of situations and settings.
Strong work ethic and commitment to the program.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
