Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Current State Licensure as a Social Worker/Counselor in one of the following areas:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Conditional Clinical Social Worker
  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors, Licensed Conditional Clinical Professional Counselors
  • School Psychologist
  • Licensed Psychologist
  • Board Certified Bahavior Analyst
  • Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug counselor

Education and/or Experience:

  • Master's Degree in an approved social work/counseling area from an accredited university - required
  • Main Certification or eligibility for certification as a Social Worker/Counselor - required
  • Experience working with students ina school setting - preferred
  • Knowledge of various social/emotional/behavioral disorders, comunication strategies, & social skills - preferred
  • Experience with IEP (Individualized Education Program) development & implementation - preferred

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with social/emotional/behavioral disorders & delays
  • Ability to manage a caseload, keep detailed recoreds, and report on student progress
  • Comfort with adapting startegies and interventions to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners
  • Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced school environment

Job Requirements:

  • Assessment and Evaluation:  Conduct assessments to identify students' needs & develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Individualized Therapy:  Provide direct therapy and consultation services to students with identified needs
  • Multidisciplinary Teamwork Collaboration, and Consultation:  Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the development & implementation of individualized strategies for student success
  • IEP Development, Progress Monitoring, & Reporting:  Actively participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal setting, & track student progress; Maintain accurate recoreds of therapy, assessment, billing, & progress reports
  • Behavioral Support:  Provide interventions that support students in both academic & functional areas
  • Professional Development:  Participate in ongoing training & professional development
