Director of College & Career Counseling
UPDATED: George Stevens Academy, an independent high school in Blue Hill, Maine, seeks an enterprising applicant to serve as Director of College and Career Counseling beginning July 1, 2023.
The aim of the College and Career Counseling program at George Stevens Academy is to enable students to discover and achieve the best next step after graduation. For most students, this means attending a college that is well-suited to their interests and goals. Others will pursue specialized training in an area of vocational interest, take a gap year, or move directly into the workforce. For those going on to college, the Director of College and Career Counseling is responsible for creating and carrying out a program that helps students and their families navigate the college admissions and financial aid process. For those students who choose to pursue vocational training or enter the workforce, the Director helps them find fulfilling options and guide them through the process of successfully applying for them.
