Jefferson Village School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to serve as the JVS 6th-8th grade Co-Ed Basketball Coach for the upcoming 2025–2026 winter season. (Mid November - Mid February). The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic success.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and conduct regular team practices and games.
- Teach fundamental basketball skills, strategy, and conditioning appropriate for middle school athletes.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and character development both on and off the court.
- Supervise student-athletes during all team activities to ensure safety and compliance with school and MPA policies.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff.
- Coordinate with the Athletic Coordinator regarding scheduling, facility use, equipment, and program needs.
- Serve as a positive role model representing JVS and AOS93 Athletics.

Qualifications
- Prior basketball coaching or playing experience is preferred.
- Ability to teach and motivate student-athletes of varying skill levels.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Completion (or willingness to complete) required MPA coaching certifications, including:
- Fundamentals of Coaching
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Concussion in Sports
- Heat Acclimatization
