The Westbrook School Department is seeking a Math Intervention Teacher at Westbrook Middle School. The Math Intervention Teacher works with small groups of students, typically in a pull out setting, to support content and skill development and gaps in math knowledge and experience. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, committed to equity and opportunity, and dedicated to teaching early adolescents mathematics and numeracy skills. The person chosen for this position will be knowledgeable in the methods for assessing and teaching targeted math skills. They will be a part of an intervention team supported by the district and school leadership. This position has a slate of classes with students in grades 5 through 8 who have been placed according to benchmark assessments. Maine State Department of Education teacher certification (300) endorsement preferred.
