RSU 1 is seeking an Art Teacher at Morse High School beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.  The successful candidate must, above all else, have a positive attitude and be excited to work with a highly-effective group of educators and a diverse student body. Candidates must also be able to effectively utilize technology in the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Help all students in their development of artistic expression in a variety of mediums
• Work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Demonstrate exceptional classroom management skills
• Have experience teaching high school students in the area of drawing and painting, as well as other media
• Knowledge of working with digital and chemical-based photography
• Preferred experience with the AP 2D and Studio art curriculums

Certification:

• Visual Arts Teaching Certificate, K-12 (620)
• Current Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
