Special Education Technician III - ABLE Program (3 positions open)

DESCRIPTION: The ABLE Program is RSU 12’s District program serves students identified with Autism, Behavioral and Emotional challenges.This is a highly structured program that utilizes a variety of instructional techniques including the ABA approach and social emotional skill instruction.  An ideal candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude, and offer flexibility. 

Applicants should be willing to learn or have the following skills:  

• Implements behavioral instruction based on ABA principles
• Manage behavior using positive and proactive strategies
• Accurately record data on child’s progress
• Be able to bend, kneel and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Successfully complete Safety Care training
• Able to work as part of a strong cohesive team
• BCBA supervision is available.

QUALIFICATIONS: Current & Appropriate State of Maine DOE Certification and CHRC authorization.
