Principal - Bristol Consolidated School
Johns Bay Coastal Alliance (JBCA) is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Principal beginning July 1, 2026. We are seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable school leader who understands the developmental/functional and academic needs of all students. Bristol Consolidated School serves approximately 190 students in grades Pre-K through 8 and employs a dedicated staff of about 45 professionals.
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Foster a collaborative school environment with stakeholders to cultivate a positive climate and support students’ academic and social-emotional development.
- Communicate clearly and purposefully with all stakeholders (teachers, students, families, and community)
- Possess strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Hold high expectations for student and staff learning.
- Is energetic, visible, good-humored, and student centered.
Required Qualifications:
- Maine Department of Education certification as a building administrator (040) or eligibility for such certification.
- Master’s degree or higher in education, administration, or related field.
- Minimum of three years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience.
