Educational Technician II
RSU 1 is seeking a skilled Educational Technician II for the Morse High School student support program beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for a professional interested in providing important support for students with various needs to find school success.
Successful candidates need the following characteristics:
- Must be interested in working with students who demonstrate behaviors that are adverse to school success and help students overcome obstacles.
- Ability to promote academic, organizational, and behavioral skill development in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a working knowledge of how adverse childhood experiences affect students and their ability to find success in school
- Must be able to build healthy, trusting relationships with a range of students
- Must have experience working with a wide range of student skills, academic and functional.
- Must be flexible and collaborative.
- Must have the ability to work in various subject areas and with a variety of adults and students.
- Must be willing and able to offer instruction in a variety of subject matters independently, and with the oversight of a collaborating teacher
Assignments will include supporting students in a self-contained program and mainstreamed classes. Additional responsibilities include teaching some classes (with collaborative planning with a supervising teacher), supporting study halls, academic remediation, and other tasks as needed by the school.
Certification:
- Current Educational Technician II Certification
- Current Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
