Morrison Center is seeking full-time Ed Tech II and Ed Tech III professionals to join our special purpose school in Scarborough, ME. This is an exciting, year-round, full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm, generally 37.5 hours per week. About Our School:
At Morrison Center School, we use a holistic, student-centered approach to support students with autism, physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities, and behavioral responses. Our environment integrates trauma-focused pedagogy and unconditional positive regard, ensuring that each student’s unique needs are met with creativity and care. By blending experiential learning opportunities and functional academics, we prepare our students to become engaged, independent citizens who thrive in their communities.
Our education team includes a dynamic group of professionals: BCBAs, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Social Workers, and Special Education Teachers. Together, we create an inclusive, immersive learning environmentthat supports every child’s growth.
Ed Tech Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing student activities, both in group and individual settings.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and track student development.
- Provide personal care support, including activities of daily living skills, feeding, and toileting programs.
- Help organize and maintain the classroom and learning spaces.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and parents to ensure coordinated support.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and uphold the center’s reputation for excellent service.
- Complete ongoing training requirements, including BHP, First Aid/CPR, and Crisis Intervention.
Education and Requirements:
- Ed Tech II Certification: Requires 60 college credit hours from an accredited college or university.
- Ed Tech III Certification: Requires 90 college credit hours from an accredited college or university.
- Ed Tech I Certification (may be considered): Requires a high school diploma.
- Willingness to learn and a passion for working with children with special needs.
- Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Certification Training will be provided at hire.

Schedule:
